Looks like people are the same all over the world. When someone is doing something insane and potentially dangerous, get them on video first… sort the rescue out second. Can’t say I would have done differently. So what distinguishes this article from the rest? This quote the reporter pulled off the cameraman:
“At first I thought he was playing silly buggers with a few of his FX Trader mates but when we saw his dogged stagger and realised he was alone, I knew we were about to witness something truly brilliant.”
Play silly buggers (British & Australian very informal) -to behave in a stupid or annoying way (often in continuous tenses) Stop playing silly buggers and come down off the roof.
OK so the very best part of the quote is that he knew he was about to witness something truly brilliant. Not the first word that comes to mind, but when you run it through the brain… it works just fine. Guess it was sheer brilliance.
It’s a Japanese dude. I am only half Japanese so I don’t get that blitzed, but let me tell you… I have been in the Land of the Rising Sun many times, Japanese men get weary off the drizzle.
